Terrace Pantheon Relais

We liked it so much that we've already booked again for our next trip. The staff were absolutely amazing and made us feel well looked after, and breakfast was a great start to each day. The rooms were nice and clean, and the location was more than we could have asked for, literally three minutes from the Pantheon and right by other attractions. The rooftop was secluded and had great vibes.

The front desk staff, Marco and Giorgio, were great, and the beds and towels were good. The location is convenient on a small street, but it's not posh. The ceilings are 18ft+, fine for an NBA giant, but the room has a small footprint and felt cramped. Best for two nights max. Furnishings are bare. No desk, no drawers in the night table, and a cheap open closet by the door. There's just a small area with a coffee maker and food, so most clothes have to stay in your suitcase. The bathroom is small, and there are no amenities. The AC finally worked on our last day. The windows were secured, and the drapes were great. The roof terrace was fine, five levels up. The safe was broken, so there was no security for valuables. Huge wasted mini lobby on each floor. Huge grade inflation here or ignorance.

The rooftop terrace was beautiful and relaxing, the decor was lovely, and the staff were wonderful, always smiling and going out of their way to help. We had a great five-day stay, and the central location made almost everything walkable. The downside was the lack of soundproofing. We could hear street noise and loud guests above us. It was very annoying and might interfere with sleep if you're highly sensitive to sound, but it wasn't a deal-breaker for us given the positives.

The room was larger than I'd expected at 16 square meters, with a large bathroom, and it was very clean. I was unsure about booking at first. I liked the location and price, but expected a tiny room that wouldn't look like the pictures, since it's Europe. Turns out I was wrong. The location is prime and central, yet tucked away on a side alley, so it's very quiet. It's a one-minute walk from the Pantheon, and even the Vatican is walkable, about 30 minutes away. The staff were nice and attentive, and the breakfast selection was fantastic. They even lent us umbrellas when it rained so we didn't have to buy any. The reception is open 24/7, which isn't common in Europe, and they have a luggage room for checkout and for holding bags while you wait for your flight. Worth every cent I paid.
