Hotel Britannia

The location isn't bad, but the hotel had some real drawbacks. There’s a steep flight of stairs at the entrance, and the elevator is tiny. The rooms get hot, and the bathrooms are awkward to use. The sink sticks out so far that getting through is difficult, and the tub is above knee height, making it hard to climb in for a shower.

Manuela was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and we felt welcome right away. The Britannia Hotel is a beautiful, classic property, with nice unexpected extras like free tours. Our room was small, but cozy and comfortable, just what we wanted. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The interior has a charming mix of old Italian style and modern touches. My room was spacious, quiet, clean, and had everything I needed, and the price felt like good value. Everyone on staff whom I met was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was nice, with the train station and public transport close by.

What made the stay special was the staff’s personal attention. They were attentive, helped with directions and restaurant suggestions, and even stopped for a friendly chat that made me feel at home. The hotel was elegant and charming, full of history, and my room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had thoughtful little details. Each morning brought the smell of fresh pastries and Italian coffee, with an amazing breakfast and lots of fresh, tasty choices. The location was hard to beat, close to major sights, metro stations, and lovely local cafés, while still quiet enough to unwind after exploring Rome. From my first moments there, I was welcomed with real warmth and felt valued. It was a wonderful Roman holiday, and I’ll definitely return and recommend it to anyone wanting comfort, elegance, and Italian warmth.
