The Great Beauty

The area felt safe and peaceful, and the location worked really well. We sometimes skipped breakfast, and Daniele would leave us some snacks :) I stayed at B&B The Great Beauty for three weeks five years ago, and everything was just right. I'd happily stay there again.

Daniel was really helpful and gave us his number in case we needed advice or help while we were out. The room was clean, nicely presented, and had its own bathroom. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a third-floor flat without a kitchen.

I can't comment on what the accommodation itself is like, since we never stayed there. Our flight to Rome was delayed, and The Great Beauty Hotel wouldn't let us check in. They told me to find somewhere else for the night and return in the morning to check in. That meant extra taxi trips, dealing with our luggage, and disrupting plans for tours and sightseeing. It's especially inconvenient for anyone travelling with kids. I found another hotel and booked it for the rest of my stay. The room at The Great Beauty Hotel had already been prepaid, so they had my money. I've called for two days without an answer or a callback, perhaps because the conversation when I arrived had become heated. Even if I wanted to use the room I'd paid for, there was no staff available.

Daniele was wonderful, and both the room service and location were excellent. Everything was perfect! :-)
