Hotel Ottaviano Augusto

The only real nuisance was noise: a garbage truck right outside our window woke us on Sunday morning. The hotel is quite far from the city centre, near the Vatican, but that suited us since we like walking. We spent three pleasant days here and were very satisfied. It was hard to find an apartment with two connected rooms, good reviews, and quality breakfasts, and this place met our expectations. The room was large, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, baked beans, and good coffee, which matters a lot to us. We'd happily return.

We were comfortable during our stay. The room and bathroom were clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good, with places easy to reach on foot or by public transport. It was also handy to have private parking where we could leave our car. Breakfast was the one disappointment. Some items didn't seem fresh, and you could taste it. Even so, I'd still recommend the hotel. Thanks for the service!

St. Peter's Square is less than a mile away on foot, and the hotel is attached to the beautiful St. Joseph Minor Basilica. My room was near the front desk, so it got a bit noisy at times, but overall I had an excellent visit. The room was super clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast offered a range of Italian foods, including pizza, eggplant, and a delicious tomato omelet. The towels were very large and soft, and the shower had plenty of room and excellent water pressure. It's a very nice small hotel.

I was greeted by a bucket with a bottle of bubbly when I got back to my room, since it was my birthday. Such a thoughtful touch. My room had been upgraded, and it was very clean, with a comfy bed, fridge, kettle, and good Wi-Fi. Breakfast was good too. Emanuel & Roma on reception were pleasant and very helpful, and gave me a map. It's near Augusto Metro and lots of buses. A travel card is cheaper for using either. The Vatican Museum is a 10 minute walk, and Castle Angelo is 15/20 minutes away. From there, walk along the pedestrian avenue across the way to St. Peters Square/Bascilica. The beautiful Catholic Church next door is another lovely feature. I'd definitely stay again.
