We enjoyed our stay overall. The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel is in a quieter part of Trastevere while still being close to lots of good restaurants. It’s a great little hotel. The walls are thin, though, so noisy neighbors can be an issue. Shower pressure was inconsistent, and the water took a while to warm up in the morning.

The hotel is decent and fairly central, but the area gets very busy with drunk tourists passing by late at night. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a baby or want a quiet night. Breakfast was disappointing, just boring, and the staff seemed bothered when we asked for coffee. There’s no machine for guests to use, so you have to ask. One breakfast employee didn’t really respond when spoken to, just said “uuuh??!!” when he couldn’t follow English. Then that same man turned off the breakfast playlist to watch the news on his phone quite loudly at 8 in the morning. Very frustrating.

We arrived fairly late, but the service was excellent and the food was great. It’s a casual, friendly place, away from the usual tourist path and not a chain restaurant. I’d recommend it.

Really good local Cesanese wine, definitely worth trying. The Roman dishes were excellent, and the staff were very nice. Warmly recommended.

The food was excellent, and the Cacio de Pepe was the best I’ve ever had. You have to try it while you’re in Rome!
