Trevi Monti House

The room was gloomy and claustrophobic, with tiny windows looking onto a wall. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the air conditioning was poor. The shared kitchen had only a tiny fridge and stove. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. After I made a comment he didn’t like, he tried to kick me out and harassed me, saying he could see everything I did on his webcam. That was creepy. There are much nicer hotels right across the street for the same price. I wouldn’t recommend this guest house to anyone.

If you just need a room for a few nights, these are decent. They’re not the most stylish place to stay in Rome, but the location is good, with a short walk to the Trevi Fountain.

The owner was nice and helpful, and the rooms were a good standard. Great location, with taverns and bars nearby and everything close. The street was fairly quiet at night, and the walk from Termini Centrale felt short and safe, even after dark. Wi-Fi was good too.

The location and cleanliness are definitely the strong points here. The host’s short-sighted attitude takes away from them, though. The property is presented in a way that encourages bookings, but once you arrive the service leaves a lot to be desired. It feels like the focus is on attracting repeat guests and hit-and-run tourists. We arrived on Saturday and found no pots or pans in the kitchen. At 4:00 PM, the host told us that some guests had taken them “by mistake” the night before, that he’d buy replacements on Monday, and that he was sorry for the “small inconvenience” but it wasn’t his fault. He suggested using the microwave for ten minutes or buying ready-made food. His excuses were amusing and imaginative, and the cooking advice was certainly helpful for preparing ready meals, but I still think he should have focused on replacing the missing cookware. After we insisted and firmly asked for the problem to be fixed, they brought us a dirty pot. Our other requests were also only granted after arguments and explanations. Pierre
