Two Ducks Hostel

The photos didn’t match the room we got, and it was dirty. We stayed three nights. The first two, we only had warm water. We called the hostel to get it fixed, but they couldn’t sort it out, and we weren’t offered another way to shower.

The bathroom was in terrible shape, the room’s air conditioning wasn’t working properly, and there were no locks on the doors, so we felt unsafe. Our group also ran into several problems with the hospitality, and the hotel managers could have been more polite. I’d rate it even lower if I could, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone used to a certain level of service. There were no amenities, either.

We booked four nights but couldn’t put up with the dirt, so we moved to a nice hotel nearby. There was mold on the walls and shower curtain, dust and old dirty socks under the bed, and the walls were filthy. It felt like a holiday in a slum. This place is absolutely disgusting. It doesn’t seem like a hostel, but two apartments where the owners apparently live. We could hear them going in and out of their room all night. They also use the name HostelRoma, though I couldn’t find it on Google.

The balcony was really nice, and in the end things were okay, but I was worried I might get kidnapped at first. There were three glasses of water in the fridge. I didn’t know if they had drugs in them, so I didn’t drink any. I found a dirty surgical mask behind the bed, too. The room had air conditioning, but I think it only blew hot air. It wasn’t hot enough for ants, though maybe that’s why the cleaning crew didn’t clean.
