Vatican Relais Rome

We spent six nights at Vatican Real Relais, a quiet place that's close to everything we wanted to see in Rome and the Vatican. St Peter's Basilica is right at its doorstep on a quiet, well-lit street, and around the corner it's lively. Buses and the metro are easy to reach, with shops all around. The staff were friendly, helpful, and super nice. It's a great non-touristy spot to rest. Highly recommend!

The room was spotless, with A/C and a towel warmer, and the staff were kind and helpful. We couldn't work out the jacuzzi, but someone came to help right away, even after hours. Breakfast was great, with lots of choices, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. We loved staying here and would come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. If you're traveling as a couple, get the spa bath room. It's so nice after a long day of walking around.

We loved having breakfast on the terrace from our room with a balcony during our three-night stay. The staff were wonderful and ready to help, and they arranged the private airport car we asked about, which we appreciated since the airport is a tad confusing. Breakfast was good, with the usual toast, some meats, croissants, and a few treats. The location is excellent, right next to the Vatican and all the shops. My husband and I had an AMAZING stay. Thank you so much!

We stayed only about 30 minutes before leaving for a better hotel at about the same price. We'd reserved a deluxe double room with two twin beds, but the man at what I assume was their office didn't believe our receipt and had to call someone. He took us to a very small elevator, didn't fit inside, slammed its door, and ran up the stairs. The room he showed us was VERY small, had just one bed, and peeling plaster. He barely spoke to us, then disappeared when we tried to find him. A woman we eventually found answered our request for another room with, "no, bye-bye." Everyone had gone, so we left the keys in a planter in front of the office. I see they've since removed the photos of our room, as well as the photos that were on the site when I booked. Those pictures do NOT reflect what we saw!
