The owner was very helpful and even drove us to the airport at 4 a.m. Do remember to call him in time so he can come to the accommodation, since there’s no sign on the street. From the reviews, that seems to be why some guests had trouble finding it. It’s basically an Airbnb. I’d been a little skeptical after reading reviews, especially about cleanliness and service, but our stay turned out great. Anyone booking should understand this is a cozy B&B mainly for sleeping, not a five-star all-inclusive place. The location deserves a mention: the Vatican is a 10-minute walk away, and the metro station right outside takes you to the city center and major sights in about 10 minutes. We had a spacious double room with a large bed and the Italian-style decor I like. It felt authentic and cozy, just right for relaxing after a long day in Rome. For the price, don’t expect too much. There was a large fridge in the room and a very small TV we didn’t need. The kitchen is tucked behind a cabinet. Some reviewers saw that as a downside, but I thought it was nice. The walls are thin, as others have said, though it didn’t bother me. I live in a big city and am used to that. The location really makes up for it. If you want a clean, comfortable room, this place is perfect. If you care more about room service, having the bed made every day, or toiletries, you should look elsewhere.

The room was decent and clean, and the manager responded promptly, but the description makes the place sound better than it is. There’s no kettle, and the kitchen is a foldaway unit. The shared patio is really a tiny terrace leading to the room that overlooks the inner courtyard. The laundry bags in the entrance didn’t feel very welcoming, and the lone bulb on a pole wasn’t an appealing light. It’s clean, but not everything matches what was advertised.
