Vaticano Julia Luxury Rooms

We were excited to stay here at the end of our Europe trip, but it was a huge letdown. The room was filthy, with stains all over the bed and black mold across the balcony door frame beside it. We raised this with management Ivan, who said it wasn’t mold, just the room’s age, humidity, and moisture. I’m pretty sure that’s what creates mold. We also mentioned my fiancé’s health concerns, but were told, “this is a two star hotel, you get what you pay for.” That was a very disappointing response, especially given what we paid. In the end, we booked another hotel at the last minute. It was much cleaner, and the staff there were more professional, listened to us, and gave us exceptional service. The members at Hotel Vaticano Julia didn’t seem to care. I’d avoid Hotel Vaticano at all costs.

Gianluca was easy to reach, and Mr Fabrizio, who picked us up from the airport, was very nice and helpful. He shared some general information about Rome on the drive. We stayed four nights, and my husband and I really enjoyed it. Our room was modern, well furnished, and very clean. Refreshments were free, and there was a complimentary bottle of wine on our first night. The location was lovely, in a quiet neighborhood but still walking distance to the Vatican. Highly recommend!

My wife, son, and I felt right at home and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the place is run by lovely, accommodating people. It’s in a nice area, not too far from the Vatican, with a supermarket just around the corner. Breakfast is at the café across the road, which is spotless and run by extremely nice people. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The building is beside a very busy road, so it wasn’t quiet inside, though it was fine for us. We enjoyed the stay overall. The room was clean and nice, about 15 minutes from the Vaticano, with great restaurants and shops all around.
