WRH Trastevere

Trastevere's bars and restaurants are so close, and the historic sights are an easy walk too. We stayed three nights and loved it. The hotel and our room stayed clean and quiet throughout. Check-in and check-out were flexible and easy, and our host was kind and welcoming. He shared great food and drink recommendations and directions around the city. I'd happily recommend the place and trying some of his suggestions.

The three-key entrance system helped us feel secure, and the insulated walls made for peaceful sleep despite the chaos of Rome's streets. Once you find the hotel, the location is convenient, with L' Insalata Ricca for tasty, affordable food and a great cappuccino shop just steps away. US travelers might find the neighborhood's first impression intimidating compared with US hotels. Luigi, the owner of WRH Trastavere in Roma, asked us not to write a review. We respect his humility, but we had a great experience and wanted to say so.

Luigi and Aziyade were kind, helpful, affable, and great to talk with, and the room was very clean. We stayed in the twin room, which didn't have a good spot for a suitcase, but that was a minor issue. The room and bathroom were otherwise perfect. It was great for walking around Trastevere and across the River. The location and hospitality made this fantastic value. We'd love to return someday, and highly recommend it.

One section of the room's floor was 12” higher than the rest, which felt totally unsafe and inconvenient.
