Youroom Corsini

We had a wonderful, hassle-free stay at Domus Corsini and would happily return to this hotel and neighbourhood. The building was quiet, and our room had a nice view and a comfortable bed. There are loads of good cafes, restaurants, and bars nearby, open very late. Check-in was self-service, and we used a keypad and card to come and go. The room and bathroom were clean. There was also a cute shared living area with a small kitchenette, coffee machine, and fridge.

We had such a bad experience that we left partway through our reservation for another hotel. This was about the room, not the service, and the price felt ridiculous. It isn't really a hotel, more like an Airbnb. The building was dark and felt sketchy on entry, with nobody on site to help. The room smelled damp, and the humidity inside was higher than outside, even though it wasn't humid outdoors. It was uncomfortable to sleep in. Mold was growing inside the bathroom, and there were water stains and damaged walls and ceilings throughout. It looked as if the problems had been painted over repeatedly instead of repaired. I'm allergic to mold. The bathroom entrance was so low I hit my head on it a couple of times. There was visible poop stuck to the underside of the toilet, and the tub drained so poorly that water pooled quickly while I showered. We found another place for the same price that was 100 times better. This was the worst place we've stayed. The photos are very misleading. It had been renovated, but the renovation neglected important parts of making the environment safe.

This was by far the worst apartment I've stayed in during my many trips to Trastevere, Rome. The place was filthy and moldy, and the shower overflowed because it was clogged. There was a huge wad of hair on top of a bathroom fixture. The air conditioning in the main kitchen and loft area didn't work, leaving me stuck in the bedroom trying to work remotely. I was told someone would come the next day, but nobody showed up. When I asked, they just said the AC still wasn't working, without saying how it would be fixed without a technician. When I finally braved the heat to cook, I found a dirty, greasy baking sheet and grease all over the oven. I sent the host photos, and they offered to refund the cleaning fee. Half the flat was unusable in 38 degree heat, so I asked for more, but they refused. They kept saying the accountant was away, and I never got their refund. I eventually went through Expedia and recovered the 45€ cleaning fee, but I still think they owe me more. Don't stay here.

We had no running water for 90% of our stay at Youroom Corsini. We couldn't shower, flush the toilet, or use the sink during the day, and at night the water kept cutting out halfway through a shower. Staff promised a partial refund, but more than two months later nothing has come through. I'd strongly recommend choosing another Airbnb. This felt very scammy.
