Villetta Dino

We had our dog and cat with us at Villette Dino in August 2025, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating with all our requests. The house was very well maintained, with a fenced garden, barbecue, and lovely terrace. The sea is right nearby. We highly recommend it.

The location is excellent, and the layout can sleep up to seven: there are two bedrooms, one with two single beds and one with a single and a double, plus two double sofa beds in the living areas. We were only four, but one bathroom and no outdoor shower still felt like a squeeze. That’s a real drawback, especially with the free beach five minutes away through the pine forest. There’s no water hose either. The apartment is on the first floor, reached by stairs to a small terrace, and comes with a parking space and a little garden with a barbecue. Inside, the terrace opens into the living room and kitchen, with a TV and double sofa bed; another small terrace is by the sofa, and the two bedrooms and single bathroom are off a small hall. Wall-mounted air conditioning works very efficiently throughout. The pillows were awful and need replacing. A few things like scissors were missing, but nothing major. It’s managed by the nearby Stella del Mare Hotel, whose pool guests can use.

The pool and the sea are both a five-minute walk away, and the hotel, which also serves as reception for this accommodation, has tasty food and drinks at very fair prices. Our host had reserved a fantastic place for us, all on the ground floor and level, which was safe and easy with our two young babies. The corner cottage had a large private garden, terrace, pizza oven, and parking right outside, so there was no hauling things around. It even had eight beds, handy for changing and dressing the children, and brand-new air conditioning in every room. Our outbound flight was badly delayed, and then we had a late-night struggle with the car seats, so we didn’t arrive until after midnight. The host got in touch to check everything was okay, then came by bicycle in the middle of the night to hand us the keys and bring two bottles of water for the babies. Excellent service, very friendly staff. I’d recommend this stay to any family. Five stars.

In 12 days, room service came twice, which was much appreciated. My daughter and I took lots of trips around the varied Tuscan landscape, including Lucca, Capalbio, San Vincenzo, and Castiglioncello, and it was always lovely to come back to Villetta Dino. The pine-lined path to the sea was beautiful, and the sea itself was fantastic, just a five-minute walk away. A wonderful vacation and a highly recommendable place to stay.
