B&B Di mare e d'azzurro

The sea was right in front of our balcony, visible through two French doors, and the view from the fourth floor was perfect. My wife and I stayed at B&B di mare e d’azzurro for our honeymoon, and had an amazing time in Salerno. Mario was the best host I've ever had anywhere in the world. When we arrived, he explained the room and gave us brochures with information about Salerno and the Amalfi Coast, including ferry times and places to see. There was water, soda, juice, beer, and snacks waiting for us, and the room was spotless and nicely decorated. The location worked really well: it was a ten minute walk to the ferry for the Amalfi Coast and also ten minutes to the train, with easy rides to Pompei and Paestum and a direct two hour trip to Rome. Breakfast was a pastry and coffee at a nice little cafe five minutes away. The cream croissant was delicious. We only wish we'd booked more than five days. If you're planning to see the Amalfi Coast and have been told to stay in Sorrento, I'd seriously consider Salerno and getting in touch with Mario at B&B di mare e d’azzurro.

Such a lovely place, I'd recommend it to anyone.

The hospitality was excellent.

The host was so kind, caring, and helpful that I didn't want to leave when it was time. The room and bathroom were lovely and very clean, and the ocean view was close enough to watch boats come and go. The location is great, with plenty of places to eat nearby. I've never met an unfriendly person here, and I'd love to return. Breakfast is included at a place four blocks away, which isn't too far. It was a pastry and two drinks, such as coffee and juice. The street is busy almost all the time, so light sleepers may struggle. It's also not very wheelchair friendly unless the stair lift works, since there are eight steps before you reach it.
