Camping Arizona

Never again. The service seemed bored and tired, and the internet only worked in the waterpark. You have to pay extra for the waterslides, and the waterpark itself is small and old-fashioned. There are other hassles too: cash only, bring your own toilet paper, and you have to leave your car in the parking area near reception. They keep your passports overnight.

We spent two and a half weeks at this lovely campsite on a hillside. There was plenty of shade and several pools. It has a little shop and a bar with very good coffee and a few dishes, and there's a pizzeria just outside the campsite. We used it as a base to visit lots of old Italian cities and had some lovely meals at nearby trattorias.

We stayed here in our motorhome, and it has just about everything. There are large washing machines and dryers, clean showers and toilets, and bins all around. You can hire rackets from reception for the two tennis courts, and there are four or five table tennis tables. There's also a shop and two restaurants. At the back, there's a large pool and a waterslide, though we were there out of season, so I can't comment on those.

We came in May before the season, so the shop was open but the restaurant and bar weren't yet. Luckily, Pizza Pirata is right next door and was absolutely great. The sanitary facilities were excellent, the best I've seen in Italy. It's a lovely, quiet spot surrounded by nature, though farther from Parma than I'd hoped. The staff were friendly and efficient.
