Appartamenti Terre Rosse

The restaurant was a real highlight, with delicious local food in a cozy atmosphere, and breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty choices. We loved our time at this beautiful hotel in the Tuscan hills. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. We can’t wait to return.

This was my second stay at Hotel Casolare Le Terre Rosse near San Gimignano, and I’d happily return. The peaceful countryside setting made a great base for exploring Tuscany. Our family room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with room for everyone to relax. We especially loved the tasting menu at the restaurant. Every dish was full of flavour, and the 0km local ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the pool and garden were lovely places to unwind.

We stayed at Hotel Casolare for our honeymoon, and the staff made it memorable. The shuttle to San Gimignano was convenient, and the driver was friendly. The resort is gorgeous inside and out, with beautiful scenery and a splendid pool patio. Our room was great, and most of the amenities suited us. I especially liked the towel heater. We enjoyed breakfast, particularly the pistachio-filled croissants, as well as the restaurant. Sometimes we had to wait a while for food, but the service was excellent overall. The rustic Tuscan atmosphere and paintings added to the experience. Compliments to the chefs for the delicious food, and to the staff for being so friendly, accommodating, and easy to deal with. I highly recommend it for a stay in the Tuscan countryside.

We chose Terre Rosse for a cycling trip, and it was a perfect base for exploring the area. There’s well-equipped bike storage with tools and a bike stand. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a food-serving bar area open throughout the day and a very good on-site restaurant. The staff were professional, welcoming, and always willing to help. I’d recommend it whether you’re cycling nearby or touring this part of Tuscany.
