Top, top, top. The rooms were perfekt, and the pool area was lovely and relaxed. There's a beautiful view over the vineyards, and yes, they have local wine tastings. I couldn't make the tasting, but the person working there was happy to give me a personal one, which was really nice. There are hiking routes all around, and the town isn't far.

We loved the pool most of all. It's in an epic setting, and a refreshing swim every day was wonderful. Our ground-floor apartment opened from the kitchen straight onto the garden terrace, perfect for lunch or dinner, with amazing sunset light. The town is just over a 10 minute gentle walk along a proper pavement, an easy stroll after dinner. A wonderful base for exploring San Gimignano, and we also really enjoyed the small vineyard tour and wine tasting.

The views were great, and it was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy Tuscany. San Gimignano's walls are only about a 10 minute walk away.

The grounds were gorgeous, with spectacular Tuscan scenery, and the pool was a nice bonus. We had comfortable rooms in a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and a kitchen, in an exceptional location a short walk from San Gimignano. We also did the vineyard tour with wine and food tasting, and met lovely people from other countries. Marianna was delightful and helpful, and even let us run a tab for the winery's excellent Vernaccia white and a red. I would go back in a minute. I was a little disappointed that the promised A/C wasn't working, though the temperature was okay in mid-September. The road is very close, so there was some traffic noise at night.

The location is awesome, just a short 2 minute drive to the town square, and we loved the pool. Our spacious room had a fully equipped kitchen and living room, plus an amazing terrace with an incredible view.
