Hotel Da Graziano

Service was excellent, and the place is close to the town's main entrance. A good choice when you're in the mood for seafood rather than pasta. The tuna and bream were both quite good, especially for the price. Local wine is available by the glass or in bottles of different sizes.

The Tuscan bean soup was simple and traditional, with soft white beans, spinach, bread and a drizzle of olive oil. It had the subtle flavor you'd expect from an everyday home recipe. I also enjoyed the baked chicken with saffron, topped with asparagus that was tender but still al dente. A nice meal after a day on via Francigena. The hotel is about a 400 m walk from the old city center, along sidewalks beside the road. Having a bar and restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner was convenient too.

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. The hotel is in a pleasant spot outside San Gimignano with a great view of the town. There's parking across the street, though it tends to fill up during the day. We found it easier to use the P1 lot and walk over.

The owners were very nice, and the hotel has a restaurant and bar. The location is beautiful for photos, and we had an excellent dinner. The room's air conditioning worked well, though the mattress wasn't comfortable. It felt worn on both sides and raised in the middle. Tap water is drinkable, but the taste is bad.
