L'Antico Pozzo

The hotel team were friendly and helpful, and we found the hotel comfortable and very well located. We loved the town. Day trippers make it busy, but things quieten down later, with plenty of beautiful restaurants to choose from. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including eggs made to order, cappuccino, fresh fruit, whole grain bread and pastries. This is a pleasant inn in an ancient building, with modern updates where needed and rooms that still feel authentic. Its location near Porta San Matteo is handy when arriving or leaving.

We slept really well in our room. With the old shutters closed it was quiet and very dark, just what we needed to catch up on rest and recharge. The hotel's cellar was also interesting to look through, with its archaeological finds. Breakfast was simple and easy, with no fuss, and got the day started well. The location made exploring easy. Before booking, the staff helped us with the reservation, room choice and travel, and they were helpful with excursions too. Thanks to the whole team.

This was the second night of our short Via Francigena walk, and after hiking in the heat we were exhausted. Our second floor room overlooked the main street. It was spacious, clean, quiet and cool, and the shower worked well. Breakfast was good in the morning. The village is stunning, and we spent time at the city's museum and tower as well as the main church. That's a good hotel stay to me, and we'd stay here again.
