We've stayed here twice now, and Alessandro has kept improving the property. It's even more beautiful than it was a few years ago, and you can see how much he cares about the place that's been in his family for generations. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully furnished. Breakfast is wonderful, and if you're lucky he might cook dinner for you too. It's in a quiet, beautiful area with easy access to San Gimignano, Pisa, and other places. Alessandro is warm and approachable, and seems fluent in several languages. This is absolutely one of our favorite places to stay in Italy.

Alessandro’s dinner turned out to be the best meal of our whole trip. He mentioned one morning that he’d be cooking that evening, and we weren’t sure what to expect, but every part of it was phenomenal. We spent two nights here at the end of our Italy trip, after a week in Sardinia, and it was a lovely way to wrap things up. We were celebrating our second wedding anniversary, and the stay felt just right for it. The room and bathroom were both roomy, the view from the bedroom window was beautiful, and it was so peaceful. Breakfast was delicious each morning too. We’d love to come back, and I’d absolutely recommend it for a Tuscany trip.

The owner was easy to reach whenever we needed help and was very helpful. We spent a few lovely days just outside San Gimignano, where the grounds were beautiful, calm, and well looked after. A really good experience.

Il Casale del Cotone felt like stepping into a fairytale. The garden and countryside scenery were lovely, and the house and location were just as special. The people made it feel complete. It exceeded expectations, even for someone skeptical, and gave us an experience we won't forget.

We only got to stay one night, which was the one disappointment. The place is so cozy, with lots of lovely little spots to sit, and the garden and view are stunning. We had delicious Chianti with cheese, then the owner made us bruschettas and a huge steak. I’ll definitely come back.
