The views are the best part, and there’s history in every bit of the old architecture. It’s a lovely place to walk around, with nature all around. Parking is free, and there’s no entry fee. Definitely recommend.

That drinking water well was a lovely detail. We went as a group of friends, and you reach it through a tunnel from the cellars. The owner lives in the castle and offers B&B rooms too. He can explain everything else.

The terrace has a breathtaking view across the Monferrato, and it’s the most distinctive part of the place. The tour also takes you through a small, beautiful garden and into the rooms, where photos aren’t allowed. It begins at the rear parking lot, which gives you a view of a large part of the castle. The owner lives here and leads the tour, explaining in detail how the castle changed over the centuries. It’s a splendid castle, though it isn’t always open to visitors.
