The staff were great and speak Italian, English, French, and German. The place is basic but clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location feels secure. You do have to collect the keys about six blocks from the rooms, but it’s an easy walk and the process is simple.

The big plus is the location, right in the center and ideal for seeing Sanremo on foot. It’s on a lively pedestrian street where shops stay open late, so there can be noise at night. The room is clean and air-conditioned, with a large terrace, room #3, though the terrace could be cleaner. The apartment is split into several rooms and has no reception, so you have to collect the keys from another building quite a walk away. There’s no private parking, only paid public parking. Still, the room is good value for money.

It’s affordable, but nothing special. When we arrived, we were told to collect the keys somewhere else. After finding that place and coming back, we realized these are rented rooms, not a hotel or B&B, since there’s no actual facility and no breakfast either. The cleaning left a lot to be desired. My son walked around barefoot and his feet turned black. I really don’t think I’ll return.
