The rooftop is a cool spot, with a really nice mountain view. It’s a friendly place, though very much a no-frills hostel, and a bit outside town. The walk in is easy, and lots of young people stay here.

The rooms, hallways, and rooftop are all very spacious, and the location just outside Sorrento is good value overall. But the Wi-Fi in my room was so poor that it was effectively unusable for the whole week, even during a sunny summer week. Breakfast had a few choices, but was mostly carbs and sugary foods: croissants, bread, sweet yogurt and spreads, plus cheese, ham, and canned fruit in syrup. Fresh fruit and something like peanut butter would be easy ways to improve it. The Wi-Fi also needs more access points to reach every room. Other reviews are right about the toilets having no seats, you sit on the bowl itself. The women's bathroom doors are transparent glass, don't close properly, and can swing open with any movement.
The included breakfast was alright, and although I’d read many reports about bed bugs, we didn’t encounter any. Our private double turned out to have two bunk beds pushed together, unlike the photos, and the room smelled odd. The air conditioning didn’t work either. Being away from Sorrento could be a problem if you don’t rent a bike or want to take the bus or train every time you go into town. I can’t really recommend it unless you’re on a strict budget.
I was there with the group but wasn’t the person directly affected. One person woke up with many bites that were clearly consistent with bed bugs, and the situation felt very concerning, especially since she had dealt with this before. The establishment’s response was disappointing. They offered a room change, but no other satisfactory solution, and that didn’t feel safe to us, so we left after one night despite booking several. Their responses to customer reviews are also worrying, since questioning guests’ credibility instead of dealing with the issue responsibly doesn’t inspire confidence. I’d advise future travelers to be cautious and read recent reviews carefully.
I left after one night because I didn’t feel comfortable staying for health and safety reasons. I had to book somewhere else, and no compensation or real solution was offered. I woke up with multiple bites on my legs, ankles, thighs, and back, apparently from the night in the bed. I told staff, who thought they were probably mosquito bites, but given how many there were and that they appeared overnight, I wasn’t convinced. Later I saw several reviews raising bed bug concerns here. I’d urge future guests to be cautious and check the room and recent reviews carefully.
