Hotel Pini

The restaurant was excellent, and the hotel is in a good spot for mountain lovers. We found the service excellent and the hotel comfortable, though it could be better maintained. Highly recommended.

The hosts were so kind, and they picked me up at Passo della Calla even with the difficulties of the area. I was coming from the fifth stage of the Cammino di Dante. My room met my needs, though there were a few too many bedbugs. I imagine they’re very hard to get rid of out in the countryside. Dinner was filling and gave me a boost, and breakfast set me up for the next stage.

Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and seemed brand new. The hotel had kindly stocked the little fridge with still and sparkling water and chilled prosecco. Even with the village festival going on, we could sleep without much noise. The green hills outside the window were a beautiful view, and dinner in the hotel restaurant was good. We also had a covered, enclosed parking space for our motorcycle right in front. Check-in was very quick, but we were only told where to find the keys and which floor our room was on. Nobody mentioned breakfast times or where it was served, or other useful details. I’d asked online to reserve dinner at the restaurant and got no reply. When we arrived, the staff seemed not to know about it, but did what they could to sort it out. There was a village festival happening, which probably took up a lot of the staff’s time and attention.

The owner was friendly. The rooms were clean, but the lobby could use some tidying. Papers were scattered around with toys, baby shoes, and strollers, so walking into the hotel felt unpleasant. Dinner was average, while breakfast was good.
