Ca Palazzo

Mr. Massimo and Mrs. Barbara were perfect hosts and gave us helpful advice on exploring Venice, including less visited sights and places to eat well for less. The apartment was delightful and had all the amenities we needed. The five of us had a wonderful stay. Its central location also made arrival from the airport very convenient by Alilaguna ferry.

I gave one star because of the organization and the stairs. There's nowhere to leave your bags while waiting for check-in or after checkout, and nobody tells you about this. If you arrive in Venice at 8 a.m., you have to take your luggage to storage at Rialto, then return at noon to collect it and go to the apartment behind San Marco. The same absurd trip is needed on departure if your flight is late in the day. It's simply unfair. The apartment description also doesn't mention the 70-plus steps, which are extremely inconvenient when you have several bags.

I stayed at Ca Palazzo from 30 August to 02 September 2018, and want to thank Barbara and her son, who was managing the apartment at the time. He welcomed us so warmly and gave us plenty of tips and advice to help us enjoy Venice and the surrounding area during our three days. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped, with everything from a washer-dryer and dishwasher to an iron. We had a small cream container break in our luggage, so being able to wash our clothes easily was a real help. There was room for four or five people. The location is right by Piazza San Marco, you really can't do better. Yes, there are 98 steps, but we came out healthier and more ready to eat more Venetian treats, and the view over Venice is beautiful. Check the photos, it's lovely. Most of all, Barbara's warm welcome and support meant a lot. It's always nice to feel looked after in a foreign country, and it reminded me of Portuguese culture. She was tireless about giving recommendations and answering our questions every day. My sincere thanks. I totally recommend it.

Excellent apartment. I traveled with my wife and our two young daughters, aged 10 and 3, and it worked really well for both comfort and location, right beside Piazza San Marco. Seeing Venice at night without crowds is something else. Bárbara looked after us very well. I'll come back.
