Chiara is warm, friendly, and easy to be around, and she’s a fantastic cook. The place is lovely, tastefully decorated, and everything works just right. Even the bed was more comfortable than our nice mattress at home. Sarteano also makes a great base for exploring Tuscany. We had a wonderful stay.

Chiara prepared breakfast each day with lots to choose from and was happy to handle special requests. The breakfast room and common area felt homey, and gave us a comfortable place to spend time with friends who were also in town. Our room was spacious and bright, and the entire property was air-conditioned, which was a real help in the July heat. Palazzo Pio III is in an excellent location. We had a very comfortable stay, thanks in large part to the personal hospitality from Chiara and Guido.

We still think about Chiara’s homemade pastries at breakfast. Palazzo Pio III made our recent trip to Sarteano feel perfect, with modern, comfortable rooms, great air conditioning, a convenient location, and hospitality from Chiara and Guido that was hard to match. The restoration is absolutely stunning, though photos couldn’t do it justice. They’ve made it feel like a home away from home. We hope to return soon.

Chiara’s scratch-made breakfasts were so good we’d stay again just for the food. Her passion really comes through, and that was the best croissant I’ve ever had. She also made us feel at home and shared lots of great recommendations. Palazzo Pio III sits right in the heart of Sarteano, so it’s easy to walk everywhere, and the town is a hidden gem. The renovation preserves the building and town’s history while adding updated comforts. Sarteano and the Palazzo Pio II have a special place in our hearts. We’ll absolutely visit again. The hosts were lovely and knew so much about nearby restaurants and sights. The room was beautiful, and breakfast was fantastic, especially the best cappuccino ever. It’s a stunning property, and we’d definitely stay again. I’d recommend it to anyone.
