The hotel and its facilities were satisfactory, and the stay started comfortably. But I had to leave early because of a medical condition, so I asked the manager, Prisca, whether a refund for unused services might be possible. It was a polite question, and I understood that hotel policies might apply. Her response felt unexpectedly emotional and confrontational, and seemed unprofessional and out of proportion. Whatever the answer to the request, I think these matters should be handled calmly and respectfully. That interaction overshadowed an otherwise decent stay and left me with a very negative final impression.

Molte grazie Hotel des Alpes! My weeklong stay with our enthusiastic 50-member ski group from Florida USA was fatastico. Thanks to Prisca, Valentina, David, Michael, Chef de Cuisine Oskar, and the kitchen staff for hosting us. The hard-working team was friendly and attentive, and we appreciated their patience, attention to detail, and steady focus on keeping us satisfied. As a former resort staff member and restaurant server, I know how challenging a group that size can be. We had abundant breakfast buffets every day and carefully planned multi-course dinners. The immaculate, charming alpine-inspired hotel is handy for public transport, SPAR grocery, Val Garden Active tours office, ski rentals, the Ciampinoi cable-car/ski lift, gift shops, and restaurants. I’d highly recommend Hotel des Alpes for a stay in the Dolomiti, and I’m looking forward to returning.

Prisca does a fantastic job handling everything. She’s engaging and makes sure you have what you need. The food was very good at both breakfast and dinner. Our room was a little small, but had a balcony facing the street. Parking was a bit hard to find at first, so the front desk clerk came out to meet us and guide us to the underground garage. Thanks, Prisca, you’re awesome!

We had a single room and a standard double, and both worked well for us. The staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Hotel Des Alpes offers great value for its price and location. I’m already looking forward to returning to the dolomites, and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a newly renovated room, and the mountain views were breathtaking. The location was perfect, and Selva di Val Gardena is an amazing destination. The staff were friendly and professional, always going out of their way for us. The owner was especially attentive and easy to reach. Food was delicious, with high-quality breakfast choices. At dinner there were set meals to choose from, plus a salad and dessert buffet. The tiramisu, carbonara, and lamb chops were the best. We also enjoyed the hikes nearby, and the hotel’s free bus ticket was a nice bonus. Underground parking was very helpful too. I highly recommend this hotel for a Dolomites visit, and we’ll be back for sure.
