Hotel Bel Vert

Karolina was a huge help, finding us great places to eat, including Kronenstube, Ristorante Europa and Des Alpes Stuben, and advising us on our daily hikes. Our family members really enjoyed the wellness spa, and the staff were lovely. The rooms were spotless and breakfast was fantastic. We had an amazing stay.

We had everything we wanted for a fall hiking trip: a hot breakfast, heated bathroom floors, parking on site, a balcony, smart TV, and sauna. The staff were friendly and had excellent dining suggestions. They gave us passes for the free bus, though we drove and didn’t use them. We didn’t need dinner at the hotel, a hot tub, or convenient bus access. From our balcony the views were amazing. The hotel is in Selva, handy for all the roads to trailheads, but outside the busy center, so parking on site wasn’t a problem. They were fine with us having our own wine and gladly lent us a corkscrew. With the windows open, we could hear neighbors on other balconies, though that wasn’t an issue during sleeping hours. We’d gladly stay again without looking elsewhere in the region.

We love it here and this was our second visit. The views are amazing, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the beds are great. Breakfast is fabulous, and it’s easy to get to walks, cable cars, bars, and restaurants. Karolina and the whole team are so lovely. We’ll be back next year.

The staff communicated well before I arrived and were there to greet me when I got in late on Friday. It was my first time in Val Gardena, and Bel Vert was perfect for a short weekend stop during two weeks of work in Europe. My room was clean, tasteful, and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the mountain view was beautiful. Ski-in and ski-out made getting on and off the mountain simple, and the village center is a quick five-minute walk downhill. Breakfast was unlimited and couldn’t have been better: eggs and coffee made to order, plus a full buffet of fresh fruit, pastries, meats, and cheeses. It started at 7:30 AM, which was a pleasant surprise after reading reviews that said 8:00, and gave me a full day of skiing. Parking at the hotel was a great help. My ski guide from Ortesei drove over to meet me for a day of free skiing and could leave his car there, which made things easier and faster. After checkout, the staff let me store my bags so I could ski on my final day, then shower in the spa area before catching a bus out of town. I’ll definitely return to Bel Vert next time I’m in Val Gardena.
