Casa Oliva Borgo del Benessere delle Marche

The manager was incredibly rude. We were looking for the restaurant next door, an AMAZING place, and he told us it was full, then tried to steer us to his own completely empty restaurant. I understand being frustrated when the place next door is full, but lying to potential future guests is not okay. He also clearly didn't want us parking on his property, saying, “I'll close the gate and you can pick up the car tomorrow morning.” Future guests, free parking is on the hill next to the church. PS: Look at how aggressively he replies to bad reviews.

We enjoyed our stay overall, though a few things could use attention. Our room was pleasant, if small, and the shower lets you adjust the water flow, which is nice, but it is a bit cramped. The air conditioning couldn't cool the room enough, so we were hot. The village of Casa Oliva has many buildings converted into hotel rooms or apartments, plus a small pool, day spa, restaurant, and shop where you can sample regional wine and local specialties. The restaurant menu is small but offers enough choice, though there was no salt or pepper on the table. Our waitress was very nice and spoke English.

I wanted to park near the hotel, but there wasn't another car around and no traffic, and I was told to leave. I had been thinking of spending a night or two there later this year. The hotel manager was rude, and I think there are friendlier places.

The view is great, and this is a special place. The inside and outside design could use a bit of care, but the staff were so friendly and helpful that they more than made up for it.
