B&B Il Barbero

The place itself was nice, but the owner’s extremely bad temper spoiled our stay. Our group was treated badly after receiving bad instructions. It was a serious hiccup in the legendary Tuscan hospitality.

It’s very close to the square, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was fine, and there’s a little terrace with room for three tables. The owners gave us lots of useful information. Siena parking is unfortunately expensive, though there’s a nearby lot where the hotel gives you a discount card for €10 off the €35 price. The street location makes the hotel a bit noisy, but I’d definitely consider staying here.

Sara was so kind and friendly, and the location was great. We found the room at B&B il Barbero modern, comfortable, and clean. The air conditioning is seasonal, so we couldn’t use it during our May stay. Opening the windows cooled the room in the evening, although we could hear some street noise.

Sara and her staff were so welcoming, always easy to reach, and went out of their way to make our stay special. Il Barbero is in a restricted area, but there are plenty of parking choices, and Sara is ready to suggest alternatives. The central spot is just a few minutes on foot from Piazza del Duomo and Piazza del Campo, while still being in a quieter part of the city. Our modern, comfortable room had air conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, crisp sheets, fluffy towels, and lovely toiletries. We also enjoyed breakfast on a small terrace overlooking the garden. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.
