I merli di Ada

We had a generous and tasty breakfast brought to our room, and the staff were very helpful. The location is really good, close to the main square. My wife and I stayed one night recently in the suite, which was fantastic. I could have sat looking at the view for hours, but we had limited time in wonderful Siena and needed to keep moving. We'll stay here again.

A great scenic view, and a nice little hotel about a five minute walk from the main plaza. The staff were attentive and helpful. Noise from the street can echo up the narrow roads and corridors, so it got a little noisy at times.

The rooms were great, the breakfast was excellent, and the service was very good. The place mixes new and old fashioned touches in a way that suits its character. Staff were generous and very helpful throughout our stay. It even has an elevator, which is a rare thing in a historic building like this. I Merli di Ada is perfectly placed in the heart of Siena, and we had a very nice experience. We'll definitely come back soon to stay in the center again.

The rooftop views are unbelievable, and the hotel has just started serving aperitivo up there. It was spectacular. Breakfast is included and brought to your room, which is delightful. The rooms are large, with high vaulted ceilings and AC. Toiletries are minimal, but it's easy enough to bring your own or buy them at a Farmacia. It's easy to walk everywhere from this centrally located hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They aren't around after about 9 pm, but there are bottles of water at the front desk, and you can enter with the code or your key fob. I drove here from Florence. Parking is available for 30 euro a day, a fairly standard rate. Since the town restricts driving and parking, the lot is 20 minutes away. You pull over by the hotel entrance to unload, and the valet parks the car. Retrieving it outside check-in or check-out costs 5 euro each way. Good to know, but not a dealbreaker for me. Highly recommend this hotel.
