VOI Floriana Resort

The resort does a great job for families, and I was especially impressed by the facilities for disabled guests. Everywhere was accessible, with dedicated beach areas and beach wheelchairs available. The food was amazing, with lots to choose from, especially the outdoor grill and desserts. Most guests were Italian, but that didn’t take away from our stay. We enjoyed meeting people, learning some Italian, and sharing English in return, and we’re leaving with new friends. Staff across the resort were kind and made a real effort to welcome us, speaking with us in both English and Italian.

Samuele at the bar made our evenings a real highlight. He was friendly, quick, and always smiling, and whether we ordered a classic Italian spritz or took one of his cocktail suggestions, he made it feel special. The VOI hotel in Calabria has crystal-clear water, lush gardens, and lovely coastal views, with clean, comfortable rooms and a warm atmosphere throughout. The resort was very well maintained, and the staff were professional and kind. With the great food and relaxing feel, it was one of my best holidays. I’d recommend it to anyone after a relaxing, authentic Italian getaway. Be sure to say hi to Samuele at the bar!

The food was great, and the pizza and Pasta were the best I’ve ever had. The pool, beach, and sea were all great and clean, too. We had a good 10 day stay at VOI Floriana Resort, though the area around it is pretty empty. There’s a small spot about 10 minutes away on foot for necessities or souvenirs, with a bakery, bar, and two gelaterias. Most guests were Italian, around 80-90%, so the sport and animation activities were mostly aimed at them. Without Italian, it was easy to feel left out because nothing was explained in English. Reception staff spoke English very well, while the buffet workers didn’t, so it was hard to ask whether certain food was vegetarian. Sometimes they just looked at us and spoke Italian, haha. Overall, we had a great stay, with some language issues.

The entertainment for both kids and adults was the best part of this family resort. The rooms were clean, and the sea was right nearby, with crystal-clear water. The food was good too. We’d come back!
