B&B Terrazza sul Plemmirio

We visited family and friends who were staying at this BnB. The view from the villa’s terrazzo is spectacular, and the grounds and landscaping feel like paradise. The owners are really friendly, good people. We hope we get to stay here ourselves someday.

The view is breathtaking, and a private gate gives direct access to the facilities, with convenient parking. A private road also leads down to a wild, unspoiled beach with rocks and dreamlike clear water. Le Terrazze sul Plemmirio is a peaceful corner of paradise, surrounded by greenery and meticulously maintained. I came back with my sister after staying here years ago, and it was even better than I remembered. Each unit feels like a small independent villa, with a spacious bedroom, spotless bathroom, private living area, table, chairs, and a gate for privacy. A special thank you to Tina and Rocco, who welcomed us like family. Since I’m celiac, Tina even made a homemade gluten-free cake for me, a gesture I’ll always cherish. A top-notch stay, a place for the soul. We’ll be back!

The sea is gorgeous, and the view from the B&B is exceptional. It was also quiet, with a minimarket and bar nearby. But the room was very dusty, especially under the beds, and without mosquito screens we had to run the air conditioning through the nights and part of the day. Breakfast was only yogurt, milk, coffee, and packaged snacks, with none of the cakes mentioned in the reviews and no fruit or savory food. We hung our swimsuits on an electrical wire or on chairs outside. The showerhead was broken and couldn't be fixed in place, and when we ran out of toilet paper we had to ask for more. Parking indoors could be useful, but if several cars are there, someone has to move their car to let you out. We booked a week with friends after reading the positive reviews, and were disappointed.

The view was the one good thing about this house. There was nowhere close by, and getting to the beach required a drive, so the vacation was ruined. We stayed for a week and found cobwebs everywhere. Towels were dried outside and folded onto the beds as if clean, so we all used each other's; the replacement we asked for had already been used by someone. We had to chase the manager for toilet paper too. On August 14th she said breakfast the next day would start at 9:00 AM because she didn't want to wake her friends. We usually got up early for the beach, but on August 15th the door stayed locked while we could hear her in the back with the kettle. After waiting half an hour, we went to a bar. We didn't get coffee there for the rest of our stay, though we had paid for breakfast twice. We took several photos of the dirt. Two elderly men kept watching what was going on, which became unnerving.
