Ai Tigli

It’s a shame, because the place looked lovely and we’d have liked to stay, but it was fully booked by the time we needed somewhere else. I’d made my reservation months ahead, then found out a few days before the stay, when I asked about check-in, that it had never been registered. That left us scrambling, and with so little time I had to accept the alternative accommodation the owner offered to find. The poor management caused us a lot of inconvenience.

I stopped in to see Mantua and some of the nearby villages, and found this B&B through Booking.com after spotting a good deal and positive reviews. Glad I went for it. The garden was lovely to use, everything was clean and comfortable, and the welcome was kind. Breakfast had everything I could want, and we could use the kitchen too. The owner is happy to prepare an extra dish if you ask. I’ll return when I visit Verona and the surrounding villages.

We were impressed by Corte del Conte, a beautiful place renovated with good taste. The B&B is welcoming and very well cared for, and the hosts have everything well organized. They provide clear, detailed instructions so you can check in on your own. It’s only 15 minutes from Mantua, and I’d happily recommend it.

Roberta was fantastic, and we all had such a great time. I can’t wait to return to Agriturismo Ai Tigli! We came as a group of 15 girls for a bachelorette party. The garden in front of the villa was a magical setting for a really fun treasure hunt, and the whole place has a special energy. It’s full of history and lovely rustic furnishings, with an enchanting location.
