We paid 500 Euros upfront for a two-week stay before the Venice Biennale, and the lack of care was frustrating. On arrival one evening, the only shop in the neighborhood was already closed, but they hadn’t left even one toilet roll. I had to complain before they provided a courtesy roll. I’d also texted to ask about food and got no reply. When we arrived, only one place was open, though thankfully it had some basic food. There was no kettle or other appliance for heating water, just a traditional Italian coffee pot. When I asked for a kettle, they suggested a small pot, but none was available. They promised to bring one the next day and didn’t. Later they told me to use a large stew pot without a lid. That’s dangerous. The evenings were still chilly, and not being able to make a hot drink was a real problem. The service showed no respect for basic needs. Their attitude was terrible, with no care or empathy. Avoid. It’s not worth the hassle. You might as well pitch a tent.

We stayed from May 1st to 3rd, the three of us, and had no hot water, a cold house, and no blankets for the night. We reported it but heard nothing back. A neighbor had the same issue and was told someone would respond the following Monday, after we would already have left. It’s unacceptable for a tourist accommodation to offer no weekend assistance. The organization and customer service were terrible. Not recommended.

I gave two stars because the apartment was spacious and had everything, but the stay was a nightmare. I couldn’t open the windows for five days because the ground floor was overrun with mosquitoes. There were spiders everywhere too, and I wasn’t even given mosquito coils. For a place considered a luxury residence, I can’t understand how guests are expected to live like that. The garden needs pest treatment, it’s completely neglected and the grass hasn’t been cut.

We really enjoyed our stay. The service was nice, and the place is in a beautiful city, near the beach. We’ll come back next summer.

It’s quiet and close to the beach. The kitchen is very poorly equipped, though, and a microwave would be very welcome.
