The place was fully booked while we were visiting, but the owner was so friendly and helpful in finding us somewhere else that he deserves a good review.

The shared terrace is the best part, with a direct view of Stromboli. It's peaceful, and the location is great, away from the bustle of the port. The room was very comfortable and full of charm. Looking forward to coming back soon. grazie Andrea!

I wouldn't stay here again. We were met rudely by someone who was very upset about circumstances beyond our control. They came across as temperamental and tired of the job. The room was barely adequate, and the bathroom was completely inadequate: no bidet, no window and, worst of all, no shower curtain. It was a disaster!

I was drawn to this house by a book about charming, beautiful homes. The photos' colors and the history caught my attention, so I booked about three months ahead. The place really does look like it does in the book: carefully styled, with an old Sicilian house feel and contemporary furniture. But you only get the room. No water on arrival, no coffee in the morning, no wine in the evening, and no sign at all of the hospitality the house is known for. Be careful booking through Booking.com. You'll be penalized with the street-facing room, the only one of the five ground-floor rooms. It's the former laundry room, renovated and furnished. It's comfortable, clean and spacious, but rest is impossible with scooters, Ape bikes and people chatting constantly on Stromboli's busiest road. You hear every little sound because the bed is right on the street. The owner or management says it's not about the room price, since all the rooms cost the same, but about Booking.com assigning you the worst room. Even if you book six months ahead, you can't avoid it. Category A guests, friends, get the sea view, balcony, smiles, affection and courtesy. Honestly, such a disappointment. At those prices, it could be an excellent HOSTEL. The management or ownership seems no longer interested in treating everyone professionally and warmly, only some guests. I absolutely don't recommend it.
