The owner was so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was just what you’d expect in Italy. This B&B was better than I expected: clean, comfortably furnished, with spacious rooms and comfortable mattresses. It’s right in central Sulmona. I highly recommend it.

The beds were very comfortable, but I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t stay here again. I was there with my family at the end of December, and although the suite and bathroom were both spacious, the room felt cold in winter. The owner said the heating was underfloor, but it was still freezing. Luckily, he let us use the air conditioning. The towels smelled unpleasant, so I had to ask for fresh ones. I also noticed plenty of lint and dust behind the bedside tables. Breakfast was traditional, with a croissant, jam, and Nutella. All the guests helped themselves from the same usual jar.

Over our short three-day holiday in Abruzzo, the owner, Oscar, made a real difference. He greeted us warmly and treated us with kindness and professionalism. Each morning he personally looked after guests and prepared a delicious breakfast with croissants and homemade tarts. Breakfast is in a shared room with two tables, one large for chatting and swapping experiences, and a smaller one for a more private meal. The rooms are clean and well kept, and there’s an elevator. The B&B is in a beautiful historic building, carefully restored, at the start of the pedestrian area. We were able to park very close by. I highly recommend it.
