The staff at Stella CasaBono were warm and helpful from the start, attentive without hovering. That hospitality really made our visit memorable. We were also impressed by the rooms: clean, comfortable, and well equipped after long days out exploring Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. The hotel is right in the centre of Sulmona, close to the main corso, confetti shops, and some excellent trattorias. It would work well as a base for visiting the national park, Scanno, or more of the region. Sulmona itself was a lovely surprise. We'd absolutely return.

The host's restaurant tips were worth asking for. We tried several of the places he suggested, and they were outstanding. During our Abruzzo road trip, we had a clean, comfortable room with a rooftop terrace, and the location was excellent.

The brothers were easy to deal with and always willing to help, whether we needed something or wanted a recommendation. The room matched its description, breakfast was great, and it's only a few blocks from the main square, where there's always something going on. I'd stay again.

We loved the breakfast, one of the most varied and best we've had on vacation. Roberto and Guiseppe were attentive and helpful, including explaining how to get a weekly pass for the nearby parking garage, which saves a substantial amount. The rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped. The B&B is central for enjoying Sulmona, yet still quiet.

We've come back four times since our first stay, which probably says it all. Hotel Stella has been wonderful each time. It's in the heart of historic Sulmona, and we enjoyed cocktail hour at local bars with great drinks and snacks. The staff are friendly and helpful. They arranged a local cheese tasting, carried our bags upstairs, and got us to the airport smoothly. We had breakfast there each morning, with eggs, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, and as many cappuccinos as we wanted. The room and bathroom were beautiful, with luxurious bedding and thick towels. We were never disappointed.
