Room 3 was a very disappointing place to stay. There were leaks from the ceiling, mold above the bathroom, and the furniture was worn out. One night I even came across a cockroach while going to the bathroom. We hadn't opened the windows during our stay because the restaurant exhaust ducts in the inner atrium were so noisy that we had to use the air conditioning, so I don't think this encounter was caused by us. The bathroom ceiling is so low, and the tile edges are so rough, that I nearly hit my head coming out. There was no warning sign or rubber corner guard to soften a bump. You can only get through safely if you're at least 1.60 m tall. It felt like the room was managed carelessly, with little thought for hospitality or detail. The managers seem to think a bed, toilet, and sink are enough to make a room comfortable for guests. I've attached photos showing what I described. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Serenella, the owner, has been so kind and helpful both times we've stayed here. When another B&B in a different city suddenly cancelled on us, she went out of her way to find us somewhere else to stay. We've now come two years in a row and had a great experience each time. The rooms are clean and face the pier. The location works well for the city center and for eating out, with two restaurants and a pizzeria downstairs.

Right across the street there's a city bus stop, so it's easy to get around Taranto. The guesthouse is in the old town, near the train and bus stations, and close to good seafood restaurants and other places to eat. The building is lovely, and both the cleanliness and furnishings were excellent. Highly recommended!

From the seafront you get a stunning view, and several historic monuments are an easy walk away. This B&B is in a historic building and is well kept and clean. The best of Taranto! Serena, the owner, is always friendly and helpful, which makes the stay even better. Highly recommended!

We were given a mediocre room with a leaking sink and a shower that didn't work properly. The staff were inefficient, and they made us leave at 4:30 PM even though we'd asked to check out at 7:30 PM.
