Mon Reve

We visited in the quiet season and had a spacious room by European standards, with a big patio looking out to sea and beautiful sunset views from the balcony. The resort sits along the coast, with a private beach and a large pool. We heard that thousands of people come on day passes to use the facilities in summer. Breakfast was very limited, just cereals and croissants, so we went elsewhere for coffee. You’ll need a car to reach restaurants and other amenities outside the resort.

We went to the restaurant for a formal dinner and had extremely fresh, very good food. The staff were professional, though I didn’t get the chance to speak with the chef and congratulate them on their work. The property is a few kilometres from the city centre, on a beautiful, unspoiled stretch of coast surrounded by typical "macchia mediterranea" landscape.

The room was decent, with a TV, air conditioning and a balcony, and there’s a nice pool and private beach. The beach wasn’t as clean as the public beach, though. We were told breakfast ran from 9 to 10, but it actually started at 8. When we arrived at 9:05, there was nothing left to eat.

I couldn’t get a restful night here because loud music from private events went on until midnight, night after night. The hotel needs to decide whether it will prioritize hotel guests’ comfort or private events. If you want quiet nights during a holiday, I don’t recommend staying here. I also don’t understand why we had to eat indoors when a private event was happening around the pool, even though we wanted to dine outside near it.
