The train station is only a six-minute walk away, and from there it takes about 20 minutes to reach either Merano or Bolzano. The hotel gives you a public transport pass, so trains and buses are free. We also loved taking a hike through the wine-covered hills around the hotel, and relaxing by the pool was fantastic. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good and generous, and the staff were the nicest I've ever met. I hope this doesn't sound like I was paid to say it, but I think this place is a hidden gem, and perfect for travelers.

The warm, homely atmosphere made our few days at Weingarten really nice, and Martin gave us such a lovely welcome. It's in a lovely setting, with beautiful surroundings and the train station and bus nearby for excursions. Thank you, we'd come back.
