The owners are very hospitable, and I’d definitely recommend this lovely B&B. The rooms have beautiful furniture, and the shower was roomy and clean.

The breakfast isn’t lavish, but it does the job, and the staff can be very helpful with local information when you can catch them. The building sits among greenery and has plenty of internal parking, which is handy. Rooms are spacious, with windowed bathrooms and heat-pump air conditioning. A bit more attention to details would help: the bathroom curtain had been removed because it was broken, and the shower head doesn’t stay mounted, so you have to hold it. Staff weren’t very present when I checked out, so I had to leave the keys at the entrance. I understand it’s a family-run B&B rather than a hotel.

Patrizia and her son Alessandro run B&B Cospea with real care. They’re so kind and helpful that you feel like part of the family. The villa and garden have the charm of an English country house, right in the city center. Rooms are spacious, simply but elegantly furnished, and have everything you need: a separate heat-pump air conditioner as well as central heating, an espresso coffee station, complimentary tea and herbal tea, and a guest-use refrigerator. The windowed bathroom has a roomy, efficient shower, and the soundproofing is excellent. There’s also onsite parking, a real bonus in the city center. Breakfast is a highlight, served in a beautiful room with plenty of variety and a delicious homemade dessert. B&B Cospea is more than a place to sleep, it’s an experience, with remarkable attention to detail and hospitality that goes beyond expectations. Book well ahead, as its deserved reputation makes it very popular. It won me over.
