Garni Juval

The only thing that bothered me was that the room couldn't be made properly dark at night. Otherwise, we had a wonderful, restful stay in Dorf Tirol. The hostesses were very friendly, the rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day, and we could take drinks from the fridge to our room. Breakfast had a good range of muesli, fruit, cold cuts, and cheese, enough for us, and it was a peaceful way to start the day. We also cooled off in the hotel's pool in the afternoon.

We enjoyed the big balcony and its lovely view over the Adige Valley, as well as the garden pool, which must be a great way to cool off in summer. The place is central but quiet, with the bus station, shops, and restaurants only a few minutes away on foot, and parking on site. Our room was spacious and well kept, with a seating area, flat-screen TV, large closet, comfortable beds, and private bathroom. The bathroom is very small, especially the shower, and could use updating, though its layout could also be improved. Breakfast was adequate, if fairly average, with little variety in the cold cuts. We felt at home at the Juval and can recommend the guesthouse.

The hostess was extremely friendly, and the newly renovated breakfast room served a delicious spread with something for everyone. I also loved being able to relax on a provided sun lounger by the garden pool. The rooms are spacious, have private bathrooms, and were all very clean and well maintained. Parking is available, and the central but quiet setting makes it easy to get around on foot. I can only say I've had a positive experience. Anyone calling this guesthouse basic, as one earlier review did, must never have stayed in a basic guesthouse.

The owner was especially kind, and the garni is in a great spot in Dorf Tirol. It's a typical place and very clean, just a five-minute walk from the town center. The balconies have lovely views, and there's a pool for a refreshing dip.
