The accommodation fell well short of what I expected. Although it is described as a three-star hotel, there’s no lift, and getting to the third floor may mean climbing the stairs. Furniture is poor, there’s no bedside table, and the bathroom has no carpet. Parking is free only if you find a spot on a side street along the public road; otherwise, you have to pay to park near the building. The area is dimly lit. I wouldn’t recommend paying more than 40 euros.

The manager was friendly and informative, and even carried our bags upstairs to the room. Ours was clean, bright, and spacious, but it was three flights up and there’s no lift. Check-in is limited to 2PM to 7 PM, and Villa D Este is right across the street. The street is busy and noisy. There’s no private parking, and although street parking is free, we never found an open space. The garage is several blocks away. Breakfast was packaged crackers, jams, and similar items in the room. Air conditioning, WiFi, and the toilet worked only hit or miss.

We had a lovely view toward the sunset from our room. It was spacious enough for four, with high ceilings that gave it the feel of a little palazzo, and there was a small kitchen too. Everything came at a competitive rate, with breakfast included.

The beds and bathroom were good, but the service was terrible. Breakfast was missing things like cups and cutlery, and the WiFi wasn’t available either. When we tried to get in touch about it, no one responded.

They put two elderly ladies in a fourth-floor room in a building without an elevator. The website should clearly say there’s no lift.
