B&b La Dimora

The pool was amazingly clean, and the apartments were spacious and clean too. They had a big fridge, an oven, and a bbq. The lake view was unbeatable.

The breakfast buffet was generous, and the place is cool and green with a spectacular lake view. The pool looked nice and had a panorama, but the water was dirty, with copper-green paint in the corners. The hot tub was dirty too, so we chose NOT TO use it. Getting HOT WATER in the apartment was a major problem. We had no hot water for two of our three days, and even on the other day it was an issue. Coming back and not being able to wash is no fun. The parking inside the building is monitored by video but costs extra. The unattended parking is free.

The terrace view was great, and the staff there were very friendly, but the lack of privacy made the stay uncomfortable. The apartment next door could only be reached through "our" terrace, so people kept passing through. You could hear everything through the thin separation between the apartments, including a neighbor using the toilet. It was especially bad at night. I think our apartment may once have been larger and split with wardrobes. When the neighbors cooked, we could smell gas and food. The bath only had a handheld showerhead, with no screen or splash guard. The pool was much colder than the lake, and there were lots of steps, which could be tough for anyone unsteady on their feet. When we politely raised these issues, the landlady was completely uncooperative. I can’t recommend it.

The location and view were the only good parts of our stay. The property was untidy, and the rooms felt damp and moldy. Cobwebs, dust, and stains were visible on the bedspreads. We found ants, a worm, and even a scorpion in the room, with no pest protection at all. There were other problems too: the refrigerator and lamps were rusty, the toilet seat was broken, and water leaked from the radiator. The pool area, showers, and loungers were dirty, and some loungers were broken. Breakfast was very basic, with no fruit or vegetables, and only two employees were serving so many guests. The online photos didn’t match what we found. The claimed four stars are completely unjustified; this place isn’t worth even one. I wouldn’t recommend it.
