Hotel Le Torri del Garda

The Italian saying at reception stayed with us: "Non bisogna essere perfetti per tutti, basta essere speciale per qualcuno." It made sense after a holiday that was one of our happiest in Italy. The peaceful setting makes you feel like time slows down as soon as you park, and we got proper rest, physically and mentally. We had lots of laughs and great family memories, and joked that we’d put on a bit of weight because the food was so good. Saying goodbye to Luisa at checkout felt bittersweet, and we’d love to come back. Luisa and Martina set a lovely tone before we even arrived, answering all our questions kindly and promptly. We’d visited Sirmione several times, but this was our first time on the eastern side of Lake Garda. We weren’t sure what to expect, as there weren’t many reviews from Koreans, but we’d read it was good for families and found that to be true. Everyone was welcoming from the start. It was nice to meet Luisa in person, and we really appreciated the gentleman with glasses who carried our many bags upstairs. Meals were a highlight. The manager in black, whose name I’m sorry I forgot, brought great energy to the restaurant. Maya, Michele and Giovanni were very kind, and Roberto remembered that I only drink decaf. Everyone serving the meat and pasta main courses was warm and attentive, and you could tell they cared. Travelling with children can be stressful, but no one made us uncomfortable when our little one dropped cutlery or wandered around. Staff checked if we needed anything. When our eldest felt unwell and could only manage milk, the lady at the bar helped us even though it was past 5:30, and we were grateful. The "magician" who gave my wife her massage made her very happy, which made the trip better for me too. The pool lifeguard was kind to our kids, helped inflate their float, and was especially adored by our eldest. On our last morning, our eldest was sick near the entrance. A housekeeping staff member who said she speaks Italian and Spanish dealt with it kindly and discreetly. We were thankful.

Our two children, aged 11 and 2, had plenty to keep them busy, from the indoor soft play area to the outdoor play spaces and corners around the hotel. Everything seemed thoughtfully set up for different ages, which made the stay more relaxing for us. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, and it was clear the hotel is designed with families in mind. The staff were service-minded and genuinely seemed to enjoy spending time with children. Vijay, Patrizia and Alex went out of their way every day. The baby chair was ready at breakfast, plastic cups were provided, and we noticed the little things too, like a smile or a helping hand. Even a cleaner passing through the public areas took a moment to connect with our youngest. That warmth felt real throughout the hotel. I provide guest service training to hotels professionally, and I have to say bravo: the team showed the attitude and consistency that make a stay memorable. The food was excellent too. We absolutely loved our time here. Highly recommended for families travelling with kids.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and our room was a good size with a great view. The setting has lovely views too, but it’s quite out of the way. I wouldn’t suggest it for families unless you plan to spend most of your time at the resort, which wasn’t our plan. We ate dinner there once and left most of it. The food quality was poor, choices were very limited compared with other places we’ve visited, and the meal was shockingly overpriced for what it was. The buffet didn’t really feel like a buffet, as if the hotel were just cutting costs. The gym was terrible, badly arranged and full of poor-quality equipment. It would take little effort to make it much better for parents who want to exercise properly on holiday. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The food was delicious, fresh, full of flavor and nicely served. Families can really enjoy their time here: the kids loved the pool, activities and open play areas, and the staff were so kind and attentive that we could relax. The rooms and facilities were impeccably clean and well maintained, with thoughtful, comfortable details. We had an unforgettable stay at Hotel Le Torri del Garda, welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrived. Service was personal and attentive, always with a smile. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely return!
