Il Convento

We really enjoyed the food, which was excellent and reasonably priced, and the restaurant staff were professional. There's a panoramic view from the restaurant terrace. The owners and staff were courteous and always ready to help, and our rooms were comfortable and kept clean. The historic building has also been renovated with great care. It's good to see these entrepreneurs saving and bringing back properties that might otherwise be left abandoned. Thank you, we'll remember our stay fondly.

The former convent sits on the hill above the old town, and the view across the valley from the breakfast room is wonderful. The location really matters here. Rooms are spacious and clean, and there's also a restaurant with traditional Tuscan food. Breakfast was varied and tasty. You can start with a savory dish made fresh, plus local cold cuts and cheese, which were delicious. The sweet options were good too. Prices seemed average. Such a charming place.

We’re still at B&B Il Convento as I write this, and I’m already sure we made the right choice. I came across the website while looking online and booked almost at the last minute for a four-day, three-night break between the Val di Chiana and Val d'Orcia. We wanted to unwind and take in the Siena scenery on our mountain bikes. The hosts have been kind and courteous, breakfast is plentiful and authentic, and the price feels more than fair for what you get. Our room is lovely, has a kitchenette, and is spotless. I can only say good things so far. Highly recommended!

I'd happily stay here again. The staff were so friendly, and the room was both quiet and clean. They even left disposable slippers along with the usual bathroom toiletries, which was a nice and unusual extra.
