Villa San Sanino

The rooms are charmingly luxurious, the views feel like stepping into a painting, and the food is out of this world. The family is kind and welcoming too. Realis San Sanino blew me away, which is why I’m writing a review even though I rarely do. It’s absolutely worth the money if you want to soak up Tuscany’s history and the beauty of Italy.

The food was outstanding, and as someone with celiac disease I was well accommodated at every meal without any compromises. Bianca and her family were all extremely friendly and helpful. With just four suites, the place feels more like a private home than a large hotel. We stayed for two nights at the end of June. It’s a quiet little hilltop property with incredible views and beautifully maintained grounds. We already miss it and are definitely planning to return. Thank you, Bianca!

Homemade Italian food, great service, and such a wonderful time at this villa. Sweet Bianca, cool Giacomo, lovely Mom, and friendly Dad made us feel welcome. This is a unique place, and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Villa San Sanino’s location made it easy to explore Tuscany. Pienza and Montepulciano are just a short drive away, and Giacomo and his family were glad to share suggestions and help arrange tours and activities. I’d highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return. The family made everything feel seamless from the moment I arrived. Giacomo and his lovely family were attentive and welcoming. The rooms combine traditional Tuscan touches with contemporary amenities and are beautifully decorated. The grounds are lovely, with Cypress trees, fragrant lavender and herbs, flowers, a refreshing pool, and plenty of cozy places to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I spent many afternoons reading by the pool. The restaurant was another highlight, with fresh seasonal local dishes, some of the best pasta I’ve ever had, and a broad wine list featuring wines from the region.
