Martina was welcoming, kind, and professional, and helped us with everything we needed. Thanks to her and Giuseppe for helping with the booking. The rooms are large, the air conditioning worked well, and the king size bed was comfortable enough, even if it wasn’t new. I slept well and felt rested the next day. Our room faced the road, but it wasn’t an issue: the double glazing kept things quiet and the shutters blocked the light. The location is close to the center and ferries, and there’s a special price at a local car park if you’re going to the Egadi islands. Even the smoking rooms don’t smell of smoke, thank god. It’s veeeery affordable, and I’d come back.

The receptionist was very nice and helpful, which is why I’m giving this place two stars. Otherwise, it felt like a bit of a dump. The bathroom smelled of drains, and a sign said the tap water was “non potable.” There was noise all the time, including two little dogs barking at each other at midnight. The street itself is pretty scruffy too.
