Update 03 March: I spoke with Office Manager Simone Primo, who was kind and understanding. He agreed that the situation had been mishandled on their side and offered an adequate solution. Thanks again. Original 1-star review: We ended up not staying because we had to cancel at the last minute. With a small child, plans can change quickly when sickness comes and goes, so I’d booked the more expensive option that let us cancel for free until 16:00 on arrival day. In the middle of everything, I forgot to cancel, and only remembered at 16:03. I called hoping customer service might overlook those three minutes and still let us cancel for free. Instead, I was told we’d booked two weeks earlier and had plenty of time to cancel. That struck me as a pretty funny thing to say about a last-minute cancellation. If I’d known two weeks before that my daughter would get sick, I wouldn’t have booked at all. I was also told I needed to cancel by the day before for a full refund, which was false, as I checked afterwards, and that I’d now have to pay the full stay as a fee. That was false too: after 16:00, the cancellation fee was just one night. I knew the policy, insisted on it, and canceled in the system myself. Be careful what you’re told on the phone. I was disappointed they wouldn’t overlook the three minutes, but that part was ultimately my mistake. Giving us false information about the fee and nearly making us pay several times more is unacceptable. Train your staff better on the company’s rules.

I was generally satisfied with my three-night stay in room 304. The hotel is in the wider city center, about a 15-minute walk from the main attractions. The room was spacious, with a large, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was okay but needed better upkeep: on my first shower, the bathtub drained poorly, the siphon hadn’t been removed and cleaned, and there was a lot of hair on it. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and the staff were friendly.

I won’t return to hotel nh Trento. The rooms were average, the food was terrible, the location was bad, and the staff were rude. On our last night we ordered strudel, which was clearly microwaved and came out mushy and disgusting. The hotel worker rolled her eyes at us, and reception were unfriendly when we arrived and whenever we asked questions. I don’t recommend it. Stay away.

The breakfast and attendants were very good, and the rooms and shared spaces were very clean. Still, this didn’t feel quite like the advertised 4-star hotel. The room AC temperature wouldn’t adjust. A door to the outside, not the entrance, opened all the way even though there was no balcony, just a straight drop from the third floor. That wouldn’t be a good setup with children. There’s a small bar, but in three days I never saw a bartender. The old town is a reasonable 10-15 minute walk away, though that becomes brutal in 97-degree heat. Then I got an email on August 21st saying my online check-in was complete for a stay starting August 10th. Huh?
